"I'm sorry I didn't say much at the HD screening. I was quite literally speechless at the amazing quality of your work. I can't wait to see more."

1980's

The company was formed to exploit opportunities in the emerging video recording markets in the early 80’s. Projects were wide ranging, and included an "in court"
camera system  for coaching squash players at the National Training Centre, video promotion for Jaguar at County Shows, and road show camera services for Marks and Spencer in partnership with British Gas for TV2.

New contracts in motorsport  took the company into Formula One Grand Prix, supplying production services to Bernie Ecclestone's new organisation FOCA, in conjunction with Videovision Broadcast.

This included unique packages for ESPN in America, Channel 5 in Italy, and SABC in South Africa. Other projects quickly followed in World Rally, World Motorcycle, World Sports Cars and World Powerboat Championships. This set the scene for an ever growing list of clients which would include Admirals Cup Yachting, NFL World League American Football, World Aerobatics, PGA Open Golf and Endurance Rallying.

1990's

By 1990 FMTV's client list included a full television service to World Offshore Racing, World Superbike Championship, and  The World F1 Powerboat Series, with broadcasters in over 100 countries regularly screening our programmes and materials.

During the 90's we provided outside broadcast production services to ITV's Superchamps for Executive Producer Julian Grant, camera and edit facilities to London Weekend's Raw Power for Music Box and and full production facilities for the PGA Open in Morocco.

Our client list expanded to include Unesco, Lifetime Production, Twentieth Century Fox, Paramount Television, Encyclopedia Britannica, Rothmans and Marlboro.

2000 onwards

FM Television can now boast a global client list that includes World Supersprint Rowing for Olympian Sir Steve Redgrave, Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet and the Norwegian Class 1 Offshore Powerboat Grand Prix.
